Answer #1:

It sounds like you are destined to be a happy bum under a bridge or miserable at a meaningless job. I enjoy lots of things that people make a lot of money doing, however like you I'm not interested in money and have no interest in exploiting my gifts for money. So I work at a meaningless job and do Y!A all day.

Answer #2:

do things that will make you happy and step out of your circle

Answer #3:

Sounds like laziness to me. Sometimes you just gotta suck it up and work do something you dont want to do. If money isnt a motivator try living without it and see how long before you change your mind. Is food a motivation, providing for a loved one?
I bet you smoke a lot of pot.

Answer #4:

get a self help book that will teach you motivation skills that will work for almost anyone.
i suggest Get The Life You Want by Richard Bandler
the techniques will really give you a positive boost.
everything in your post is very similiar to me. i don't have friends because they aren't like minded. a Dr. wanted to give me antidepressants because he said my thinking was different from society in general. when i walked in he asked me what i did and then said he had the immediate impression that i was an artist of some kind when he first saw me.
money isn't a motivator for me either but food and shelter are, so i work for someone else.
a little meditation, philosophy and self help techniques have made me sane and kept me alive this long.

Answer #5:

I totally know what you're talking about.

You're going to have to come out of yourself and create bridges to the outer world if you're going to make the best use of your talents. Take it one step at a time. The motivation will build up as you go along. Why not start by increasing your communication with strangers or acquaintances a little more each day? Try to get out of the mindset that you don't enjoy peoples' company, and start to see it as a necessity. You might even start to enjoy it!
Without communicating with people, even those you don't know very well, you are very unlikely to succeed as a self-employed person of any kind as it's all about networking and (often superficial) contacts. Otherwise - where are your jobs going to come from?

If you're really into your art with heart and soul, developing it should become your motivation.
