Question: my sister's boyfriend wants crib back, should she give it to him? (10 pts!)?

( Back )

Answer #1:

I say keep the crib unless he does fully get the kid. But until then he doesn't need it if the kid is going to be with you or your sister. Don't give it back unless he gets fully custody.

Answer #2:

No, don't give it back to him unless he physically threatens you then give it back and call the cops. See if he gets any percentage of custody after that.

Answer #3:

Say "screw u," and keep it until u guys see who gets custody.

Answer #4:

It's a crib, not a unicorn. Just buy a new one.

Answer #5:

No judge in their right mind will take a newborn from it's mother. The only reason to do this would be if she can be proven unfit ie.. a drug using hooker. There are also very strict visiting schedules for a child that young. Even if he petitions the court for visitation there will not be any over night visits given until the child is a certain age. It doesn't matter if he bought the crib with his own money or not. The baby needs it. If he show up dont answer the door and call the police.

Answer #6:

If your sister is going to fight for custody of the child, don't give up the crib unless the boyfriend gets full custody. If he gets full custody, you may as well let him have it. If not, you might want to think about reimbursing him for it. You don't want him to be able to sue you for money when you are taking care of a child!

Answer #7:

Possession is 9, 10th of the law! It was bought as a gift. It is there. It belongs to the child, and as long as that child is in her tummy that child is with its gift. I personally would tell him off and tell him NO! and unless there is reason with an ability to PROVE she is a harm/danger to that baby. There is NO way he is going to receive full custody.
