Matthew J. Hodgkins Said: Great CD ( Apr. 21st 2010 )
This is really a great CD. There are so many songs that are great to listen to, and I love the fact that he doesn't just do hard songs; he has a lotta great slow ones too, that aren't too mushy either. I wish I could give it 4.5 starts, but it's not an option.
Christian Anderson Said: Paul loves his paper - Check out Devin the Dude's latest ( Apr. 18th 2008 )
if you love Paul Wall, check out his homie Devin the Dude Smoke Sessions, Vol. 1- track 3 getting high is something to smoke to - whoah - this is the first album of Devin's to hit the Billboard Charts - Congrats

Paul Wall's last album, The Peoples Champ, was pretty good; the only problem I had with it was that he spent too much time talking about candy paint. Thankfully, he doesn't do it as much on Get Money, Stay True, and I just might be able to call him the people's champ now.
This album was released with virtually no promotion, but it doesn't matter because it's great. Highlights include "Everybody Know Me" and "I'm Throwed". And although "Gimme That" sounds a little average at first, everything works out in the end. R&B singers also fare well: Jon B. adds some nice vocals to the necessary song for the ladies, "Tonight", and Paul's wife Crystal sounds good on "How Gangstas Roll" and "On the Grind".
Even Trina and Juelz Santana drop surprisingly good verses on "That Fire" and "I'm Real, What Are You", respectively. Speaking of that, though, there are a few too many guest stars on this album; Paul is only alone on three tracks ("I Ain't Hard to Find", "Bangin' Screw" and the aforementioned "Gimme That"). Also, sometimes a few guest stars' performances are hit-or-miss. While Paul's friends Yung Redd and Lil' Keke (who both sound a little too much like T.I.) shine on the respective joints "Get Your Paper Up" and "Break `Em Off", E Class sounds very strange on "Call Me What U Want". I'm used to Freeway's loud rapping, but it's TOO overpowering on "On the Grind". And whoever's rapping on "Slidin' on That Oil" sounds like he's high.
In fact, it seems like the only rapper that DOESN'T appear on here is Mike Jones (WHO?). Anyway, I hope Paul's next album has less guest stars, but regardless, when YOU get money, go pick this up.

Derrick Jenkins Said: its cool ( Aug. 21st 2007 )
Didnt buy his previous CD. But after listening to Get Money and seeing him in concert over here. I might go back and cop "People's Champ" in the future. I have a few songs that i like on the cd including:
"Everybody Know Me" feat Snoop Dogg
"I'm Throwed" feat JD
"On The Grind" feat Freeway & Crys Wall
"That Fire" feat Trina
"I'm Real, What Are You?" feat Juelz Santana
a few more listens might be in order, but still feeling the cd overall. I've heard a lot of other rap cds and more than a few of them were straight garbage. "Get Money" is a pretty cool cd with a few bumps along the way, but that's about it.
