Before I ordered this toy, I checked with reviews on amazon.com. I decided to try it because it's really cheap (

Nice gifts for children and adults.

If your children are learning to count and save, this is great.

My wife has given several both inside and outside the family.

L. L Teuling Said: WORTHLESS! ( Jul. 16th 2010 )

Even as I sit here, I'm putting money into this bank. This is the third time in a row it has read a quarter as a nickel. It reads my pennies as nickels at times, too. In fact, right now I'm just plain exasperated and am going to put my change somewhere else, and most likely I'm going to throw the whole unit away. I was dumb enough to buy two of these and am getting the same stellar performance (ha, ha) out of the other one as well.

I'm thinking of another strategy -- a good, solid tin can. If I'm in an artistic mood, I can put some contact paper around it. Then when my pocket change reaches a certain height, I will get some coin wrappers, bundle the money up, take it to the bank and I'll be set.

The idea is good -- a bank that counts coins -- but get one that actually works!

Amazon Fan Said: Good product... no real problems. ( Jul. 10th 2010 )

My husband and I use this bank to hold our coins. Yes there are some complaints about the machine not reading right, but we've used the bank for a few months now (with a little over $34 in change) and it is accurate within 50 cents. I did notice (when redoing the count the other day for fun) that it did mess up (approximately 3 times with all $34) when I didn't push the coins in straight down. If the coin wiggled too much (by my own doing) it sometimes read incorrectly. Aside from this one little issue that can be avoid and dealt with, I enjoy this product.

I bought this product a couple of weeks ago to keep track of all my spare change and I love it. I counts my change and it doesn't make mistakes.
